Ministry - The Land Of Rape And Honey (1988)

Intense, dark and mysterious Ministry's third album has a combination of Nine Inch Nails with a harder sound. This is an essential for industrial fans, it must've been groundbreaking back in the day when people saw the music video for "Stigmata". Al Jourgensen's band were like none other and thus brought arguably the first tracing's of industrial metal. It's as original as can be. I don't think there could've been a Rammstein if it weren't for the weird music of Ministry. If you're looking for melody or musicality than this is probably not for you. It's also one of the angriest sounding too (Flashback) if you pay attention closely to the lyrics which is hard in certain songs because the vocals are heavily distorted. Songs to check out "Stigmata", "The Land of Rape and Honey" and "Deity".

1. "Stigmata" – 5:45
2. "The Missing" – 2:55
3. "Deity" – 3:20

6. "Hizbollah" – 3:58

9. "I Prefer" – 2:15
